Sorry I did not get a chance to reply yesterday, I was too busy banging my head against the wall over some page templates that refused to work in XOT. The answer turned out to be a simple and obvious one, but it cost a lot of time before it became obvious what the problem was.

I don't know my way around the source code so this will have to wait for now. However it this approach is possible it has the advantage of being able to be introduced retrospectively after the launch of the individual page templates.

I hope things ease off for you in the near future.

Kind regards

Johnathan

I'm struggling for time to be honest, things here are pretty mental. BY all mean have a look in the source code: you'll need the mdm.forms.callfunction to call one function in a form from another form, there are examples in there,

Subject: [Xerte-dev] Getting the page name and title to work in Xerte individual page templates

At present in the desktop xerte with individual page templates, Xerte gets the page title for display in the TOC and top left corner of the screen from the "title" property of the page icon and not from the "name" field of the xml data.

Attempts to pass this data over at runtime have so far failed, resulting in incorrect page titles displayed and unidentified being displayed in the toc.

Would it be possible to modify the code that handles the xwd files so that it wrote to the page icon's "title" property, the data for the xwd "name" field on closure of the xwd form. If that was possible it would solve all the runtime problems as the title property value would match the xwd data name value. If the "name" property of the page icon was also set to data for the xwd's "name" field then this would also help the developer as the project tree would also reflect the page name from the xwd data.

Kind regards

Johnathan
