See attached paper by Jeroen van Steenis on Platycheirus marokkanus. Differences between that species and muelleri are unclear. Taxonomy of this group is waiting to be resolved. </div>

I have an interesting male Platycheirus from the Pyrenees in front of me, that resembles albimanus. It also looks a bit like Platycheirus muelleri.
<br>
<br>
However, almost nothing is known about this species. It is described by Marcuzzi in 1941 with only a poor description (see attachment). He does not mention where the type is. It might be Trento. Does anybody know where to find that type? <br>
<br>
Does anybody have more useful information about this species?<br>
