thing is, we found some old (1840-1844) syrphid specimens in our department collection, but it is not clear who collected them. One specimen has a label "Scaeva lithuanica Mihi" and I thought that might help. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find any information on this species.<BR>I tried to post my inquiry on syrphidae.com, but unsuccessfully, with some unclear errors showing up...
