[Syrphidae] Walker measure in lines?

Hi all,


I noticed Walker in his publication of 1849 is talking about 'lines' for 
measurements.


Example:

" Length of the body 2 lines of the wings 4 lines. "


Does anyone have any idea how to translate this into mm?
