Dear all,

I sent Sander a copy of Thompson et al 1982, Linnaean species of flower flies. There is clearly stated why the valid name is cemiteriorum.

Best wishes

Wouter

Onderwerp: [Syrphidae] correct name of Chrysogaster c(o)emiteriorum

Dear all,

Does anybody know why Chrysogaster c(o)emiteriorum can be found under two names?

It is Chrysogaster cemiteriorum in eg

- Stubbs & Falk British Hoverflies

- Reemer et al. Dutch Atlas

It is Chrysogaster coemiteriorum in

- Syrph the Net 2016

- van Veen 2004

What is the correct name of the two?

With kind regards,

Sander Bot
