Hi Sander,

Sounds like you may have collected Ighboulomyia Kassebeer, 1999. Kassebeer published a series of papers on Moroccan/N-African Syrphidae in the late 1990's. Do you have those?
I only have paper copies, no Pdf's...

Best,

Menno

Thanks Bastiaan, Found that
paper indeed. I identified nearly all specimens. Here is a link with all my
records for people interested in Syrphidae in Morocco:http://observado.org/user/view/12654?q=&akt=0&g=0&from=2013-06-27&to=2014-06-27&prov=0&z=0&sp=0&gb=0&cdna=0&f=0&m=K&zeker=O&month=0&rows=20&only_hidden=0&zoektext=0&tag=0&q=&zoektext=0&from=2014-06-01&g=18&akt=0&to=2014-06-27&prov=0&z=1&m=K&zeker=O&rows=20&month=0&only_hidden=0
(a long link, if it doens't work, try http://observado.org/user/view/12654 and choose Diptera)
I am left
with one very strange species, it looks like Lejota or Chrysosyrphus but doesn’t
fit (eyes don’t meet like Lejota, but face with facial knob like Chrysosyrphus),
anybody an idea? http://observado.org/waarneming/view/85843938
