I just returned from a trip to Madagascar. I managed to collect a few Syrphidae.
I found this reference which is probably very useful:
    Keiser, F. 1971 Syrphidae von Madagaskar (Dipt.). Verhandl. Naturf. Ges.
    Basal 81: 223-318. [1971.11.??]
Does anybody has that paper?
