[Syrphidae] wingbeat frequencies

Hi All,

Further to the question about wingbeat frequencies, a few years ago a student of mine
carried out an informal analysis of the relationship between WBF and body size in syrphids
and other insects.  He found some differences in these relationships between groups
(although the literature used was more restricted than the set Francis reports).  If
