[Syrphidae] 2-4 September 2005: International Workshop

<P>Dear syrphid friends,</P>
<P>Thanks to all of you who replied to my question concerning the date for the 3rd International Syrphidae workshop. The replies were very diverse and it was impossible to meet everyone's preferences. However, the second option (late August / early September) received more votes than the first one. Besides, there seems to be a preference for September rather than for August. This made us decide to choose the weekend of 2, 3 and 4 September 2005. Probably the meeting will be organised in the National Museum of Natural History in Leiden. </P>
<P>We are aware of the possible problem this date may create for some teaching syrphidologists, but because the event takes place in a weekend, we hope that most of them will still be able to join for at least two days. </P>
<P>More details will be announced later.</P>
