1st International Syrphid Workshop, Staatliches Museum für Naturkunde
Stuttgart, Germany, Friday 6 to Sunday 8 July 2001

Following earlier discussions about a syrphidology meeting, we are
pleased to announce that the above 3 day workshop has now been
arranged.  We will meet in the lecture room of the Museum which can take
up to 150 people.  A separate room is available for posters, informal
meetings, tea and coffee etc.  For Friday and Saturday evenings a
restaurant will be reserved for dinner.  After the workshop excursions
can be arranged to collect in the Alps.

Accomodation: many hotels are near the museum and details about some of
these will be posted soon.  However the following website is useful:

Please register your intention to attend the workshop with titles of
talks/posters as required to:  Francis Gilbert
(francis.gilbert@nottingham.ac.uk; Department of Life Science,
University of Nottingham, Nottingham NG7 2RD). Talks are expected to
last 20 minutes.
