<p class="MsoNormal">a. An inductee must have made significant contributions to the field for 25 years <b>after the terminal degree is granted
</b>(it doesn’t matter what the degree is; it does not have to be a Ph.D.)<b>. </b>Therefore, nominators will need to verify to me (when questionable) through the nominee’s vita when the terminal degree was granted. There has been debate about this. However,
this is a required criterion for this year. RHF members can debate the criterion in November.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">b. “Sustained accomplishments and contribution to the literacy field" can include: authorship of publications on literacy, including reports of significant research; performance in positions of responsibility in the field of literacy; and,
preparation of leaders in the literacy field through teaching. <o:p></o:p></p>
