I wanted to introduce you all to this at a School meeting but we’re all done until September and the deadline for completing this action is mid-September, so a heads up now is best and I’ll talk you through it when we get chance.<br>
<br>
We are introducing an Annual Research Survey to be completed by all research groups with input as appropriate from group members. This is to support data collection for REF.<br>
<br>
Your heads of group have set up a shared folder with a spreadsheet inside. You should have access to it. If you don’t, please speak to your head of group.<br>
<br>
The spreadsheet has several categories of information we would like you to report on if they apply to you. These include: datasets and open source software, esteem indicators, media coverage, policy outputs, public engagement, spin outs, widening participation,
and potential 3* and 4* outputs. <br>
<br>
The spreadsheet gives you more information about each of these. Please take a look and fill in any that apply. It’s pretty lightweight, it really won’t take more than a few minutes of your time. The deadline for completion this year is 19 September.

Note: do not enter any potential outputs that have already been reviewed.<br>
