I think we need a bigger room than the little seminar rooms, but the only thing I could get was 1-2pm in A16 Hopefully the slightly different time won't be a problem (except for the fact that Dan won't get any lunch!) let me know if you want to chat with him during the day Jon -- Dr. Jonathan Peirce Director of Postgraduate Studies School of Psychology University of Nottingham http://www.peirce.org.uk From lpxez at nottingham.ac.uk Wed Oct 15 08:04:24 2014 From: lpxez at nottingham.ac.uk (Elisa Zamboni) Date: Wed, 15 Oct 2014 08:04:24 +0100 Subject: [psychology-visionlist] Vision Group meeting Message-ID: <68F696F0-1B04-4205-84F2-B2A711A15556@exmail.nottingham.ac.uk> An HTML attachment was scrubbed... At the moment that is all to say really. Rooms are booked and it is probably a bit early to be deciding what to have for lunch. I'll be forming a planning committee so volunteers are welcome. I also get to choose the keynote(s) so suggestions also welcome. Yey. Top notch science and you don't even have to get an early train. Might be worth thinking about if an article generates interesting discussion. I think it will be /relatively/ light touch review process but might get you some practice at going through the publication process. Jon http://submission.perceptionweb.com/supplement/instructions/ip/authors.html /Journal Club (formerly i-Comment)/. This section publishes journal club style articles that review recently published literature from any journal in the study of perception. This format is open to researchers at any stage of their career, but those at an early stage of their career (graduate students, post-docs) are particularly encouraged to submit to this section. Submissions can review articles published within the last two years. Submissions to this section could take the form of a concise and articulate summary of the most critical findings from an empirical article. More critical submissions, however, are also welcome: all too often the concerns raised by journal clubs in individual labs have no airing space in widely accessible publication formats. More speculative submissions, for example, that link an empirical article to a theoretical position, or field of research, not considered by the authors, are also encouraged. Articles should be no more than 1500 words. Submissions may contain figures. Please contact the Journal Club editorLee de Wit with specific questions about content. -- Dr. Jonathan Peirce School of Psychology University of Nottingham http://www.peirce.org.uk -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
