Hi Matt,
It will be interesting to compare the features.
The Google forms approach certainly has its limitations! But it does make for a very simple system. (And it is free, of course!)
I do pretty much just want to be able to imitate the keypads without having to hand out keypads, so I expect ResponseWare will also do exactly what I want.
Best wishes,
   Joel

Hi Joel,

Thanks for the heads up on this. At the recent space and technologies conference I did the session on KeePAD and had some very useful discussions with turningpoint about their BYOD version "ResponseWare" The university are currently looking at the licensing arrangements for this and it may be available in the (hopefully) not too distant future.

I have been looking at various in-class response systems recently, as a possible improvement on my current coloured card multiple choice voting system.
I liked the simplicity of socrative, but it appears that socrative may not be safe if you have more than 50 students in your class.
I have now found a solution using Google forms that looks to be simple and workable.
See my latest blog post

(or short link http://wp.me/posHB-u1 if that is broken) for more details.
Best wishes,
   Joel
