Announcement of a two-year full time research position
Umeå University, Sweden, has just announced a 2-year full time research position in mathematics education. The focus of the research to be conducted is the role of language and communication in the teaching and learning of mathematics. The full announcement can be reached by the following link:

At Umeå University, mathematics education research is organized at Umeå Mathematics Education Research Centre (http://www.umerc.umu.se<http://www.umerc.umu.se/>) which includes about 25 people conducting research in mathematics education. Research within UMERC is organized in different research groups with different research foci. The holder of this position will be a part of a research group studying the role of language and communication in the teaching and learning of mathematics:

The holder of this position will be placed at the Department of Science and Mathematics Education (http://www.nmd.umu.se/english/). The position is 2-year full-time employment with a monthly salary (before taxes) usually in the range of SEK 30.000-35.000 (approx. EUR 3.300-3.800).
