Details are on http://jobs.leeds.ac.uk/fe/tpl_universityofleeds01.asp?s=EXgIfLQnAyPBgDdPyv&jobid=85418,9858542583&key=82861183&c=823472542583&pagestamp=segkmyeliyvqimcwve (excuse the long URL!) Informal enquiries may be made to Professor Geoff Hayward, tel +44 (0)113 343 4606 email g.f.hayward at leeds.ac.uk. You may know John Monaghan at Leeds but we do not encourage you to contact him as he will be on holiday 20 July - 4 August. John, however, writes: My ideal applicant for this post will have a strong and 'promising' academic background (have or be working towards a PhD) and teaching experience in learning and teaching children of primary school age . and also have a strong ICT in education background. The post is not viewed as a PGCE post. The teaching will be at Masters level (both maths education and ICT in education programmes)and I hope the successful applicant will be keen to get involved in undergrad maths education electives (where students engage in educational issues by doing maths and reflecting on their actions). Geoff and I will work to ensure that the successful applicant gets solid support, including 'time', to develop their research work.
