Maths into pictures, 30 years on
At 8pm on Friday 28 January The Royal Institution will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Ri Maths Masterclasses (founded by Christopher Zeeman, John Crank and Shaun Wylie). To celebrate we are opening this historic Friday Evening Discourse<http://www.rigb.org/categorypop.jsp?&id=3> (usually a members' only event) to everyone!

Prof Alan Davies will be taking a variety of topics presented by different lecturers and illustrating how some quite advanced mathematical ideas can be presented to a young audience. The talk will be held in our world-famous Faraday Lecture theatre, well-known from the Ri Christmas Lectures, and promises to be a very exciting event.
