£34,435 - £43,622 per annum (pro rata, 0.4 fte)

The University of Southampton, one of the UK's leading research universities, invites applications for a part-time Senior Teaching Fellow from candidates who are engaged in delivering high quality mathematics education in the primary or middle phases and have experience in supporting trainee teachers within a school context.

You will be in the School of Education, which has an excellent reputation as a high quality initial teacher training provider with particular emphasis on the relationship between theory, research and practice in both effective and sustained professional development and high quality teaching and learning.  The School has a strong programme of initial teacher education including BA(QTS) and primary, secondary and post-compulsory PGCE; it also has a portfolio of masters and professional development opportunities and  a thriving community of more than one hundred doctoral students and seventy academic staff. The School is looking to extend it's the current range of staff expertise and develop new opportunities for trainees within the PGCE Primary and the Level 3 BA (Hons) in Education and Training programmes.

The School is situated on the main campus in a new building with state of the art facilities. The surrounding area is one of the most beautiful in Britain, with excellent rail and road links to London, and sea and air links to mainland Europe.
