  Salary grade: £35,858 - £41,545 with progression to £44,074 subject to  
meeting specified contribution criteria

  The Institute of Education is a faculty of MMU with a strong national  
reputation and a rapidly expanding portfolio of significant successes:
	• 	a national leader in Initial Teacher Training;
	• 	strong in multi-professional work, Early Years, Youth, Community,  
Careers, Guidance and Education Studies;
	• 	extensive commercial funding for innovative projects;
	• 	rapidly expanding Continuing Professional Development portfolio;
	• 	an internationally recognised profile in educational research; and
	• 	expanding links with overseas institutions.

  You may have:
	• 	established yourselves as an outstanding teacher over the last  
three or four years and you are looking to expand your horizons; or
	• 	successfully led developments in your school or Local Authority and  
you are now ready for fresh challenge; or you may have
	• 	already made a strong contribution in the Higher Education sector

  In addition to the above area of subject expertise, applicants should  
possess one or more of the following areas of professional expertise:

  Primary Education, Continuing Professional Development, Secondary  
Education, Educational Research, Educational Management and Leadership,  
14 to 19 Diplomas, Multi-professional Education, School Based Training,  
Professional Studies, International Studies, Inclusive Education.

  Full-time or fractional applications for the posts and, where  
appropriate, the possibility of secondment will be considered.

  We are looking to appoint staff with the skills, attitudes and values  
that will sustain and strengthen the Institute's future endeavours. The  
posts will contribute to teaching, research and enterprise activities,  
according to experience.

  All posts require an availability to work across the Didsbury and  
Crewe campuses. One primary maths post and one primary science post  
which will be based at the Crewe campus. The MFL, English and EAL posts  
could be based at either campus. All other posts will be based at the  
Didsbury campus.

  An appointment may be made at the Lecturer grade (grade 8) for  
candidates whose qualifications and experience more closely match the  
person specification requirements at this level.
