It is my pleasure and honour to inform you that the Executive Committee =
of ICMI has recently approved a new Affiliated Study Group :-=20
International Study Group for Mathematical Modelling and Applications ( =
ICTMA).

Information about ICTMA and its activities can be found on the website =

The 11th International Conference on the Teaching of Mathematical =
Modelling and Applications will take place in Milwaukee, USA, next week. =

more information.

ICTMA is already close to activities of ICMI, as some of its members are =
involved in the 14th ICMI Study on "Applications and Modelling in =
Mathematics Education" (http://www.uni-dortmund.de/icmi14), whose =
conference will take place next February in Germany.

ICTMA thus becomes the 5th Affiliated Study Group of ICMI. :
