 External Assessors
The Centre for Mathematics Education at The Open University is =
developing a series of new courses for non-specialist teachers of =
mathematics at Key Stage 3 and Key stage 4. We need to appoint an =
external assessor for each course. If you would like to be considered =
for this role for future courses please contact Tracy Johns =
(t.a.johns@open.ac.uk) for further information.

Further details

The external assessor is expected to provide advice to the course team =
and to submit a formal report.

The external assessor appointed should be experienced in his/her field =
and be a professor, reader or senior lecturer.

The following categories of people would not be eligible as an external =
assessor:

. former OU Staff before a lapse of five years from the end of their =
employment;

. visiting academic staff during and for a year after the end of their =
visit;

. all contributors to the course materials;

A term of six years is the maximum period of appointment normally =
permitted as External Assessor and External Examiner on the same course =
or its precursor.

You will need to submit a current cv.
