I am not quite sure whom this is going to - I understand from David Wright
at BECTA that you run a newsletter to a specialist maths research mail list.
if that is the case, I would very much like to circulate this message:

In late April/early May BBC Education is undertaking a "Proof of Concept"
trial of broadband materials for secondary Mathematics. The resources are
aimed at Y10 GCSE (S3 Intermediate 2 in Scotland), and the aim of the trial
is to assess their educational and operational effectiveness.

We need to commission an independent evaluation by a person or agency not
connected to the BBC. The criteria for the appointment would be subject
knowledge, ICT awareness and a track record in structured evaluation. The
engagement would involve approximately two days' familiarisation, then a
sustained review period from 22 April - 22May.

If you underake research of this nature, or could recommend people/agencies
who do, we would very much like to hear from you. Please contact
paul.robinson@bbc.co.uk

Is that OK? Let me know if not
