2 Mathematics Education conferences will be held in France in June, 2003.
The conferences both have an ICT focus and although they are independent
events they will be held end-to-end.

Themes

1. Role and use of software applications and calculators in the teaching and
learning of mathematics.

2. Computer aided approaches: experimenting, simulating and modelling.
Learning mathematics AND computer science.

3. Producing and using Internet resources, collaborative work and distant
learning.

4. Use of Educational ICT by the teacher. How to prepare teachers to
integrate ICT.

Each theme will include a plenary keynote address and communications. The
communications will be grouped together according to the above themes. They
may include reports on experiments or outcomes of research studies or
reflections.

The goal of the workshops will be to work together or learn about uses or
new tools.

Please only use the Email addresses below. In the message, mention the name
of contributors, the title of the contribution. Mention the main contributor
and his (her) postal address, the language of the contribution and his (her)
knowledge of the other language (no knowledge, understood, spoken, etc.)
Attach the proposal (RTF, PDF or Text only). Copy the message at the
beginning of this attachment.
Communications :

Mention the theme (1 to 4) in the message. If relevant, mention that a
related workshop has also been submitted.

The proposal should be one or two pages long. The content should be
consistent with the goal of the contribution (exchanging experience,
presenting outcomes of research studies or prospects). If your submission is
accepted, you will have to send a longer document (10 pages) by the 31st of
May. This text will be reviewed for the post-congress proceedings.

The congress will be will be principally in French. The contribution of non
French speakers and the exchange of ideas and experience between French
speaking and non French speaking participants will be encouraged by way of
simultaneous translation. Registration fees will be reduced for primary and
secondary teachers.
