The National Foundation for Educational Research is planning to recruit two
or three researchers (ARO, RO or SRO) to join the team working on the Key
Stage 2 and 3 mathematics tests for use in Wales from 2003. At least one of
the posts might suit a newly qualified graduate or teacher who wants to work
in an educational environment, but not to start teaching yet. The essential
quality is a creative, innovative approach to mathematics education, with
the ability to turn brilliant ideas into workable test questions without
killing them stone dead. A knowledge of Welsh would also be very valuable.

The posts are advertised in the current issue of the TES (2nd March) on page
308. If you know anyone who might be interested then please pass this
message on, or ask them to contact me directly by email or the phone number
below.
