[Maths-Education] Fwd: [sheffieldmayday] Check my maths please

I recieved the follwing appeal for help with a mathematical puzzle,
Can any one help to explain how this somewhat incredible result could
occur?

GAP's chief executive got paid well over 100 million quid last year.

GAP's Russian workers get 7p per hour.

I worked it out that for one of them to earn what he got last year
would take over 686 thousand years - (40 hour week and no holidays).

Can someone check the arithmetic here. It seems very unfair.
