EDITORIAL POLICY (excerpt)

Philosophia Mathematica is a refereed journal that sets out
to disseminate new work in the philosophy of pure and
applied mathematics including computing, and, by doing so,
to be a means of promoting world-wide scholarly discussion.

Philosophy of mathematics is distinct from mathematics and
mathematical logic; it is connected with metaphysics,
epistemology, philosophy of language, philosophy of
science, and ethics. Because of these multiple connections,
papers will emphasize a variety of viewpoints. Papers will
also vary in the levels of sophistication (mathematical and
philosophical) required to read them. Each issue of the
journal should have something for both teachers of
mathematics and teachers of philosophy, including papers
concerning the creation and state of pure mathematics, the
learning of mathematics, and the application of
mathematics, including computation. By publishing research
papers on philosophy of mathematics and related topics from
a wide range of standpoints, and by insisting on a high
standard of philosophical reasoning and writing,
Philosophia Mathematica hopes to appeal to scholars---both
mathematical and philosophical. Book reviews (by
invitation) and helpful expository papers will also be
published.

My interest? I think it's an important journal that should
be more widely known, and I both contribute to it and serve
on the editorial panel.
