[Maths-Education] fallout

We have had no withdrawals from either the one year course or either of the
first and second year of the two year course[Homerton and Cambridge School
of Education] and like others, feel we have a very committed group of
students.

we are being 'Ofsteded' too this year and the issues which seem to have
emerged during Stage 2 are similar to those which Peter identifies, with the
possible exception of KS 2/3 transfer, which didn't emerge at the last stage
visit. They were certainly very keen on ICT both in faculty and in schools
and on post 16, and incredibly interested in 'Standards' including all the
appropriate Annexes and consistency of training and monitoring Standards
across schools. Another big interest was in peer teaching, of subject
knowledge gaps - to the extent that the inspector sat in on a session!

We would be interested in knowing hoe TTA/Ofsted grade Clare too - we 'used'
her during an observed session and understand that she was 'used' also
during AI training sessions!!

Best wishes,

We have only had one leave from our 1 year (and 2nd year of 2
year) from 34 and we have had no withdrawals from our 1st year of
2 year (13 students). Like Laurinda, I feel that they are a very
committed group.

Dave.
