Barbara - and everyone...

I am replying publicly because others may be having similar questions.=20

You send a message in exactly the same way as before. In fact Barbara has
just sent a message out to everyone!! Send it to
maths-education@nottingham.ac.uk

If you want to change your subscription then you now can do it via the web
page rather than having to get me to change the software parameters. For
example you can now arrange it so that any message YOU send goes to
everyone EXCEPT you. You can arrange to have messages sent to you as weekly
digest rather (or as well as ) individually as and when they arrive. You
can get access to an archive of messages that have circulated on the list.
(However the archive is only starting from NOW).=20

In order to do this you will need to have a password. On the web site page
for the list it asks you to 'pick a password'. You just ...pick a password
for yourself enter it and then reenter it for checking purposes. I have
access to all the parameters of all members - and your passwords. So if you
forget it, I can change it or tell you what it was. (As long as I don't
forget my list manager password!!)

You can also arrange it so that your name/address is hidden from the list
of subscribers, you can temporarily unsubscribe while you go on vacation
for example, and you can get a message sent to you to confirm that you have
sent a message to the list. Some of this might be rather necessary, but
there it is.

So i hope that helps. given that already in the first two days of the
change there have been inadvertent personal messages sent out, I am
thinking of reintroducing the old header.....

By the way. you dont have to SHOUT!!

Best Regards

Peter
