<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Century Gothic",sans-serif">ESO is happy to announce the next La Silla Observing School, which will be held at the ESO premises in Santiago de Chile and at La Silla Observatory from February 10th
to February 21st, 2025. The school is meant for advanced MSc students and PhD students who wish to gain experience in observing with professional telescopes.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Century Gothic",sans-serif">During two weeks of intense work, the students will have the opportunity to have hands-on real-life experience by learning about observation preparation, taking astronomical
data at La Silla Observatory, and data analysis. The students will be divided into several groups: each group will be assigned to a science tutor, who will guide them through a science project that they will be working on during the school.</span></p>
